There’s no getting around the fact that washing and drying have an impact on the environment. With this in mind, we only use and install the most efficient technology in our laundries, and continue to introduce innovations that reduce our carbon footprint and minimise water and energy use.
Since 2024, we’ve reduced each cycle’s electric usage by 0.45kw, equal to a saving of 6,520,500kw/year. This is the equivalent of planting 71,611 trees.
We’ve spent five years phasing out gas heated dryers; by the end of 2025, we’ll have installed new, energy-efficient electric dryers in all but a handful of our laundries.
All Circuit company cars are now electric, and where possible our teams use public transport for long journeys. We’ve already switched to electric service vehicles in major cities, and will continue the roll-out across our fleet.
